NFF to set up Normalization Committees for Akwa Ibom, Nasarawa, two other States

The Nigeria Soccer Federation, NFF has opted to instantly arrange Normalization Committees for short-term administration of the Soccer Associations of Akwa Ibom, Nasarawa, Kogi and Kaduna States.

All 4 States have did not uphold the Statutes and the electoral code of their processes. Article 85 of the FIFA-approved NFF Statutes, beneath Unexpected Contingencies and Power Majeure clearly stipulates that ‘the Govt Committee shall have the ultimate resolution on any issues not offered for within the Statutes or in instances of power majeure’.

“Nonetheless, the NFF has determined to uphold the choice of the Edo State FA to cross a vote of no confidence on its chairman, Mr. Rowland Abu, and to have the vice chairman within the position of Ag. Chairman. He has been advised to guide the charting of a roadmap to the conduct of free, honest and credible native soccer councils’ elections and subsequently, the FA government committee elections.”
