On May 19,  Dare’s stewardship of the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development with the current administration winding down next week.
The NFF President described Sunday Dare as a good Steward whose achievements and policies are very functional while noting that the footprint of other structures he has laid will be seen even after he leaves his office.
“First of all I just want to say something about his stewardship as the minister of sports for a period of four years, and you had it all from the president of the Nigeria Olympic committee, he has outlined all his achievements, all the policies, all the programs he has brought into the system, some have started working, while the impact of others will be seen after he leaves,” says Gusau as captured by paimedia.com.ng
The cherished NFF President regrets and wished Mr Sunday Dare isn’t leaving office this soon, owing to the fact that the synergy between the Nigeria Football Federation and the sports ministry is already beginning to yield positive dividends, which will foster stronger bond for greater strides.
He added: “The most unfortunate thing is that I came just a few months back and we just started, and God so kind we have started to understand ourselves and working very well together and unfortunately he is going to leave, we started working together and it has started paying.
“I must say he is a hardworking man, he tried his best, and we will continue to remember him.”
NFF supremo wished the Minister well in his future endeavors as he prepares to vacate his office after next week’s Presidential inauguration.
“The only thing we can wish him is to wish him well, we wish him God’s protection, and God should even elevate him higher, but we will really miss him in the football industry.
“We hope to have another minister that will continue with the legacy of Sunday Dare and even do more so that tomorrow we can talk good about whoever is going to come.
“So we hope anybody that is going to come in should at least maintain the legacies of Sunday Dare and even do more for us to talk about it, ” he concluded.
