Nigeria appoint Prince Sunday Udofia and Niyi Busari to Olympic Eagles staff
The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Prince Sunday Udofia as team coordinator and Niyi Busari as media officer of the U23 men’s national football team, the Olympic Eagles.
Udofia previously held the same position with Nigeria’s U17 men’s team, the Golden Eaglets, when they successfully defended their FIFA U17 World Cup title in Chile in 2015.
Busari, a journalist who owns the online publication BSN Sports, has also been named to the Olympic Eagles’ backroom team.
The pair are expected to join the squad when preparations resume in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, 25th October.
Nigeria are preparing for a two-leg U23 AFCON qualifying fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The first leg will be played at TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi on Friday, 13th November. The return match will take place four days later at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo.
