Nigeria-eligible Evelyn Ijeh scores crucial matchwinner as Vaxjo edge Djurgarden

Nigeria-eligible forward, Evelyn Ijeh scored the winning goal as her Swedish Dammalsvenskan side, Växjö pipped Djurgården 1-0 in a league encounter on Monday.
The host, Djurgården has lost three of its last five games with a win and a draw.
Växjö had a similar record in its last five games with three losses and two wins.
In a game dominated by Magnus Pålsson’s side based on ball possession, Växjö had to wait till the 50th minute to break the deadlock.
Elin Nilsson set up Ijeh who scored the opening and winning goal for Olof Unogård’s side.
The goal increased Ijeh’s tally to three in the league this season. as she played full 90 minutes for her team which returned to winning ways after consecutive losses to Vittsjö and Linkopings.
The hosts tried to come back but couldn’t get the desired results despite having seven shots against Växjö’s nine.
The win lifted Växjö to the 11 positions on the log with nine points from eight games.
