Nigeria Football Federation announces monthly Football Awards

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed plans to introduce monthly Football Awards aimed at recognizing and rewarding the outstanding players and coaches in the country.

In a statement released by the NFF Communications Department, the awards seek to celebrate and promote excellence in Nigerian football, fostering positive discussions both locally and internationally.

The awards will initially comprise seven categories, highlighting the achievements of players and coaches nationwide.

Furthermore, the initiative presents opportunities for companies and institutions to contribute to the growth, development, and sustainability of football in Nigeria.

The NFF Awards project is set to become a central program in Nigerian sports, building on the Federation’s previous support for initiatives like the Pitch Awards and introducing a standardized monthly award under its banner.

Detailed information about the award categories and criteria will be unveiled in the coming weeks, promising an exciting new chapter for football in Nigeria.
