Nigeria Football Federation inaugurates normalization committee for Kogi FA

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has inaugurated the Normalization Committee to be saddled and proffer solutions into issues that characterized the dissolution of Kogi State Football Association election.
The committee that will be responsible for daily activities and issues surrounding the earlier conducted election.
NFF representative, Dr. Mohammed Ameenu said the normalization committee will use NFF code of conduct to ensure that the abnormality discovered at the last election is resolved.
The chairman of the Normalization Committee is former Commissioner for Local Government in Kogi State, Honorable Sadiq Ainoko while the Vice Chairman is Alhaji Kamar Abubakar. Other members are Hon. Mustapha Allahdey, Alhaji Yahaya Ali, Mr. Baba Abel while Secretary will be Ogazuma David.
Hon. Anioko who was once a member of NFF ministerial committee for 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup noted that his experience in the football sector will be put into rebuild football in the state.
He stressed that his committee will work towards to ensuring peace in the state football and also convince those who have passion for the sports to be brought into the association, adding that a robust plans will be put in place to ensure that the past glory days is restored.
On the case of interference and bringing all aggrieved individuals together, the chairman disclosed that with the mandate of the NFF on them, they will ensure that they work independently and bringing aggrieved individuals back and the right thing is done.
The Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Idris Musa, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Janet Bajeh applauded the NFF for the decision to reposition Kogi football noting that the ministry will ensure the right thing is done for a new election to be conducted.
Mrs. Bajeh noted that Kogj State is known to be a football loving state that has produced lots of footballers and administrators including the former NFF President, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi and Ojo Olorunleke who is currently with the Super Eagles.
She however charged the committee to work based on the NFF code of conduct and ensure that its process is made transparent and open to all concerned.
