Nigeria striker Idoko Mercy shines in Portuguese football debut for Racing Power

Nigeria forward Idoko Mercy made her debut for Racing Power FC Portugal in a 7-1 win over Vilaverdense.
Idoko joined Christy Ucheibe (SL Benfica) and Peace Efih (Braga) as the third Nigerian player in the Liga BPI from Israeli women’s league outfit, Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem.
The Nigeria U20 star has hit the ground running with her competitive appearance in the first leg of the Portuguese Taça Da Liga quarter-final on Sunday, getting four assists for her new team on her debut.
The team raced to a 4-0 lead in the first half before adding three more goals in the second period of the game.
Jennifer scored two goals with a goal each from Evy, Kala, Sini, and Neuza.
The return leg of the clash will be held on September 10 and the newly promoted top-flight side will open their league campaign against Damaiense on September 16.
