Nigeria international, Juliet Adebowale is delighted to join the ranks of Sheffield United.
The former Nigeria U20 star has teamed up with the Blades in an undisclosed fee from Watford.
Expressing her joy in signing for Sheffield United, Adebowale said the club will play an integral part in her career after gaining experiences with the club in the preseason games.
“I’m really happy. This is a great club to be at and I think it will improve my career. It’s different, a different city for me but it’s been good,” Adebowale told the club website.
“Training has been good, I’ve gained a lot of experience in the pre-season games and the girls have been really good. It feels like home, it’s been nice.”
The 20 year old has found the back of the net twice since joining the Blades in the game against Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool Feds.
With her signing, Sheffield United boss Jonathan Morgan is convinced about the features and abilities of Adebowale, stressing his optimism that she will be a great advantage to their side this season.
“I spoke to Juliet just before pre-season and she wanted a chance to show what she has,” Morgan said.
“She was willing to come all the way up and we provided her with a trial. She’s quick, she’s scored goals in pre-season which is fantastic for us and she is definitely someone who can add to our strike power for the new season.”
The second division side in women’s football in England finished in eight position last season and they will kickoff the 2023/2024 season against Charlton Athletic on Sunday, August 24.
