Nigerian teenage sensation Maxwell Ozoemena seals loan move to Swedish side Landskrona BoIS

Promising Nigerian forward Chibueze Maxwell Ozoemena has completed a loan move to Swedish club Landskrona BoIS from Sparkling Stars International FC, in a deal that runs until August 2026, with an option for a permanent transfer.
The 18 year old winger, who can also operate as a striker, will be eligible to play after the turn of the year but has already joined the squad to begin his adaptation process.
Speaking to HD.se, Ozoemena reflected on his journey and the challenges of making it as a footballer from Nigeria.
“It has not been an easy journey here. I have always believed in myself and had faith that one day I would play at the highest level.
To become a footballer in Nigeria, and especially in Africa, you have to be strong mentally and physically,” he said.
Ozoemena noted the stark differences between European and Nigerian football, citing weather conditions, tactical systems, and team chemistry as key areas of adjustment.
“It takes a lot of adaptation from the weather and the team’s playing system to getting to know my teammates.
 I’m working on it and hope to get better. My goal is to play, earn a permanent contract, and move on to the highest level,” he added.
