Nigerian teenager James Arinze has secured a significant career move to Danish Super Liga champions FC Midtjylland from FC Ebedei, Nigeriafootball.ng confirms.

The versatile midfielder, who has been on Midtjylland’s radar after impressing their scouts earlier this year, will begin his developmental journey with the club’s U-19 squad before aiming for the main team.

Arinze expressed his excitement after signing the contract: “It means a lot to me, and it has been a goal since I was very small.

“Now it’s about working even harder so I can achieve more of my goals. My biggest dream is to end up in the Premier League, but before then I know that there are many steps that need to be taken,” he told the club’s official website.

FC Ebedei and FC Midtjylland have a longstanding relationship that has paved the way for several players to become regular members of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Notable names such as Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka, and Raphael Onyedika have all transitioned from FC Ebedei to Midtjylland, showcasing the success of this partnership.

Arinze’s move to Midtjylland represents a promising step in his young career, and he hopes to follow in the footsteps of his compatriots by making a significant impact in European football.
