Nigeria forward Ahmad Ghali has sealed a move to Czech Fortuna Liga outfit Sigma Olomouc from league rivals Slovan Liberec, continuing his steady rise in European football.

The 22-year-old, Kano-born, widely admired for his blistering pace, dribbling flair, and versatility across the front line, expressed his excitement at joining Olomouc and set his sights on major honours.

“I’m eager for this new adventure and my eyes are set on lifting trophies with Sigma,” Ghali said after signing.

Beyond domestic ambitions, Ghali will also feature in continental football, with Sigma Olomouc preparing for the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League campaign.

The Nigerian youngster believes the squad is capable of making a statement on the European stage.

“With teamwork, great things can be achieved this season,” he added.

Ghali’s transfer highlights the growing footprint of Nigerian footballers in Central and Eastern Europe, joining a wave of compatriots who continue to thrive in the Czech top flight and beyond.
