Nigerians abroad: Ndidi missing, Iheanacho fails to rescue Leicester City from defeat
By Wale Mustapha
It was yet another bad day in office for Super Eagles’ players at Leicester City as the Foxes failed to end their abysmal start to the new Premier League campaign following a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

The pulsating encounter played at the Vitality Stadium saw Leicester City going into the action without Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi who is out for three weeks with fresh routine of injury.

Leicester City started the game brightly as they took an early lead following a simple tap in from Patson Daka after a brilliant pass from Youri Tiellemans.

Bournemouth would turned the table around in the second half as they scored two goals within three minutes (68′ and 71′) from Phillip Billing ans Ryan Christie and record their five consecutive unbeaten games under caretaker boss, Gary O’Neil.

Ndidi’s team mates in the colors of Super Eagles, Kelechi Iheanacho was a second half substitute for Leicester as he replaced Boubakary Soumare but the winger couldn’t help Brendan Rodgers end his six consecutive defeats in the EPL.

The defeat has however left Foxes 19th on the log with just four points from nine league games.

Rodgers will have to find a quick solution to Leicester’s crisis ahead of their next match at home to Crystal Palace.
