Nigeria’s Kevin Akpoguma suffers injury in Hoffenheim’s defeat at Union Berlin

Nigeria defender, Kevin Akpoguma will have to be sidelined for a number of weeks following his latest injury suffered in Hoffenheim’s 3-1 Bundesliga defeat to Union Berlin on Saturday.
The Super Eagles’ defender was hobbled off in the first half in his side’s first league game since the World Cup break.
The 27 year old was then replaced by Czech’s Pavel Kaderabek who was involved in the Hoffenheim’s lone goal of the match.
Union Berlin would staged a second half comeback in the match to seal the match points.
The injury for Akpoguna is the latest from his series of set backs that have blighted his growth as a player.
The length of the latest suffered on Saturday has not been disclosed but it is believed to rule him out for weeks.
The German born Nigerian has played 14 games for Hoffenheim in the current campaign and will be a major miss for the German side who are not well placed on the Bundesliga table.
