NNL Sets October 2025 Kickoff for New Season, AGM Slated for August

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has confirmed October 2025 as the kickoff for the 2025/2026 season, following a strategic Board meeting on Friday, July 11 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for the last week of August 2025.

The Board reviewed the 2024/2025 season and reaffirmed its dedication to league development, while expressing gratitude to Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for hosting the 2025 NNL Promotion Playoffs.

It also congratulated NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau on his appointment as WAFU Zone B President, and welcomed the NFF’s extension of the current NNL leadership’s tenure.

Key partners like Prostar Recreational Services, Sportlight Hub, Sofascore, Monimichelle, and Hon. Kunle Soname were acknowledged for their support. The Nigeria Referees Association and NALCOMA also received praise for their roles during the season.

The Board plans to review the league’s constitution to boost governance and operational efficiency.
