“Nobody expected us” – Kabir Dogo on Nasarawa United shock win over Kano Pillars

Nasarawa United’s Technical Adviser, Kabir Dogo, praised his players for their unexpected victory over the formidable Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Solid Miners secured a 1-0 win on Sunday, with a stunning goal from Yusuf Anas marking their second home victory of the season.
Dogo acknowledged the quality of their opponents, who featured experienced players like Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, and Rabiu Ali.
“We are very happy for this victory. It’s a result nobody expected us to get, especially given the talents on Kano Pillars’ side. But glory be to God that we won,” he said.
The coach emphasized that this win would boost the team’s confidence and belief moving forward.
He noted, “We dominated the match and could have scored more goals, but we are comfortable with the win, as it gives us three vital points.”
Looking ahead, the Solid Miners will face Plateau United in their next match on Sunday.
