NPFL 2022/23 : Dakkada Hold Thanksgiving Service, Commit The New Season Into God’s Hands

Forward of the graduation of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Skilled Soccer League, NPFL, Uyo-based outfit, Dakkada FC held a particular thanksgiving service, Sunday, January 1, 2023, with the theme “The Chosen Ones of God” taken from 1Corinthians 1:27-29.

The service was held on the Apostolic Church Afaha Oku district, Oku Village street, Uyo and was attended by high-profile dignitaries together with the Deputy Chief Whip of Akwa Ibom state Home of Meeting and Govt Member of Nigeria Soccer Federation, Otuekong Nse Essien, who was the Particular Visitor of Honour, Commissioner-1 of the Akwa Ibom state Native Service Fee, Honourable Saturday Akpan, the state Director of Sports activities, Elder Ifiok Duff, the state Chapter Chairman of SWAN, Comrade Emmanuel Akpan and the Senior Particular Assistant to the Governor on Sports activities, Elder Paul Bassey, who despatched in a consultant, amongst others.

In his sermon entitled “The protection of all the things with God”, the presiding pastor, pastor A. A. Okon lauded the membership for committing the upcoming season to God and gave scriptural proof that God is not going to disappoint them. He provided particular prayers and blessed them.

Talking earlier, the Chairman of Dakkada, Coach Aniedi Dickson, mentioned that the membership’s choice to carry the thanksgiving service was borne out of the demonstration of God’s love, blessing and faithfulness in direction of them over the previous few years.

“Over the previous few years, we’ve got crisscrossed the size and breadth of the nation executing NPFL matches and God has ensured that no studies of any unhealthy incidents like accident or assaults have ever emanated from our camp, to His glory”, he mentioned.

Mr. Dickson thanked the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and appreciated the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports activities, Sir Monday Uko, for the employment platform which has been created by way of Dakkada and made a money donation to the Church that he described as vital as a result of based on him, it was a sacrificial contribution from all of the gamers, coaches, officers and administration employees members with none member of the membership being ignored.

There was time to dine and wine at a luxurious reception which adopted instantly after the service at Dakkada Membership Home the place hymns have been sung, goodwill messages acquired and refreshments taken together with the sharing of a 10kg bag of rice to every member of the membership which was donated by the Commissioner, Sir Monday Uko.

Dakkada who’ve been drawn into Group B will start their marketing campaign with a visit to Bayelsa United when the 2022/2023 NPFL will get underway this Sunday, January 8, 2023.
