Abia Warriors’ captain, Augustine Njoku, is in high spirits and ready for action as he makes his return from injury ahead of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash against Bendel Insurance on Sunday.
Njoku had been sidelined with a hamstring injury following the team’s Matchday 25 encounter with reigning champions, Enugu Rangers.
However, the experienced defender has now returned to full training and is fit for the upcoming fixture.
“I feel very good. Being out for a few weeks and coming back to training, I feel very, very good, and I’m happy about that,” Njoku told our correspondent.
“I’m not feeling any pain in my hamstring anymore, so it’s a great feeling. I really thank God for my quick recovery – all glory to God Almighty.”
Abia Warriors, under the guidance of coach Imama Amapakabo, will look to build on their earlier victory over Insurance, having defeated them away earlier in the season.
