Captain of Abia Warriors, Augustine Njoku, has urged his teammates to focus on ending their winless run in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, as the club prepares to face Katsina United in a crucial Matchday 14 encounter.
The ‘Umu Chineke’ side are yet to taste victory in their last four matches, a streak that has left the team eager to bounce back and regain their form. With the pressure mounting, Njoku has called on his teammates to approach the upcoming fixture with renewed determination.
“It’s been a tough period for us with the recent results, but football is full of ups and downs. I believe that against Katsina United, we will get it right,” Njoku told media.
“I see this as a test game for us, and we are determined to secure the maximum three points here at Umuahia Township Stadium.”
Abia Warriors, under the guidance of coach Imama Amapakabo, will be aiming to turn things around in front of their home crowd and start a new chapter in their campaign. The team’s performance against Katsina United will be crucial in their pursuit of a strong finish this season.
