NPFL: Babaganaru confirms Gombe United readiness for Sporting Lagos test

Mohammad Babaganaru, Head Coach of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side, Gombe United has disclosed his team’s readiness for the 2023/2024 opening match against Sporting Lagos on Sunday.

After sufferings series of delays and postponements, the Nigeria top flight will get underway at various centers from Saturday through Sunday.

Babaganaru who joined the Gombe United few weeks ago after the departure of Aliyu Zubair and is fully prepared for the new season, assuring his players understand what is at stake for the team in the new season.

“We are ready and prepared ahead of the new football season,” the former Lobi Stars’ gaffer told media.

“We’ll continue to do our best in other to achieve our main goals this season. However, for what we have seen from our preparation so far, I can say we are ready for the challenge this season.

“There is nothing that is going to distract us from making all our fans, supporters and the state government proud.”

Mobolaji Johnson Arena at Onikan, Lagos State will play host to Gombe United’s clash with newly promoted Sporting Lagos.
