Sunshine Stars’ Technical Adviser, Bala Abubakar, has described his team’s heavy 4-1 defeat to Bayelsa United as an unfortunate result but assured that the issues would be addressed promptly.
The Owena Whales were beaten by the Restoration Boys in the Matchday 21 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday in Yenagoa.
Despite the setback, Abubakar remained confident that the mistakes made during the game are fixable.
“We have seen our mistakes after the defeat to Bayelsa United in Yenagoa,” Abubakar told media.
“These are familiar errors, and we are going to go back and work on them before our next game with Remo Stars.”
The Owena Whales will next face Remo Stars on Saturday in their league encounter, which will take place at Ikenne, their temporary home ground. Currently, Sunshine Stars are in 15th place on the NPFL table with 24 points.
