NPFL: Bala explains why Doma United lost to Niger Tornadoes

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Doma United, Abubakar Bala has stated that his side’s 2-0 defeat Niger Tornadoes on Sunday was down to inability to convert chances.
The Ikon Allah Boys got the better of their visitors from Gombe State with two first half goals from Mohammed Hussein and Usman Bashir in the Nigeria Premier Football League match.
Bala who was facing Tornadoes for the third time this campaign having led Katsina United to engage the same opponent noted that his side was the second best as they failed to get into the match after the slow start.
“I must say the we were not at our best today, we didn’t give enough to make us get something from the match,” Bala told Nigeriafootball.ng after the match in Kaduna.
“They scored two goals in first half and gave them more confidence and control of the match.
“We also did not do well with the chances we had, may be it could have bring us back into it, but we will have to leave that behind and focus on subsequent games.”
Doma United are placed 14th on the log with 38 points from 31 games and they will play host Kwara United in their next Matchday.
