NPFL: Beating Kwara United gives us soothing relief – Abia Warriors’ coach Bethel Orji

Caretaker Coach of Abia Warriors, Bethel Orji has described his side’s slender 1-0 win over Kwara United on Thursday as relief with the assurance to build on it.
Abia Warriors who just parted with their substantive manager, Erasmus Onuh labored to record the victory over the Harmony Boys in the Matchday 22 of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL clash played in Aba.
Megwo Sunday scored the only goal of the game in the second half to hand Coach Orji a winning start on his interim assignment and tactician feels his side possessed the right quality to excel in subsequent games.
“I am elated and thank the players because they came out to play for the victory over Kwara United, it’s a relief and morale booster for the team.
“The refurbishment of the pitch affected our performance a-little but we got used to it and we moved on from there.
“We go back to the basics and strategies on our pattern of play,” he stared after the match in Aba.
Abia Warriors have moved to 10th on the log with 30 points from 22 games. Their next game is against Kano Pillars.
