Akwa United striker, Chijioke Alaekwe, has urged his teammates to give their all and secure victory in their upcoming match against Enyimba FC on Sunday.
The Promise Keepers will host the nine-time NPFL champions, Enyimba, in a crucial Matchday 23 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Alaekwe, describing the match as a must-win, believes that a victory against Enyimba will significantly improve Akwa United’s chances of avoiding relegation this season.
“We’re aiming for nothing less than a win against Enyimba on Sunday,” Alaekwe stated.
“This is a must-win match for us because our position on the table is far from ideal, and we must fight to move up and secure our place.”
The match will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Currently, Akwa United sit at the bottom of the NPFL table with 20 points from 22 games.
