Bayelsa United and Rangers International FC played out a 0-0 draw in Matchday 23 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in Yenegoa on Sunday.
The result didn’t help both sides league aspirations.
Chief coach of the visiting Rangers Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu said the match was a high intense one despite the barren draw.
“I must let you know that it was a very high game we had. It was a wonderful outing. Both sides did wonderfully well. At the end of the game, it ended goalless,” Ekenedilichukwu said after the game.
“We came all the way from Enugu to Bayelsa. It wasn’t easy. The boys put in their best. We tried to convert some chances but it didn’t come.
“That’s what happen in football. You have to accept that.
“Everything is okay. That’s football. Nobody is perfect. The game is okay.”
With the result, the Flying Antelopes dropped to fifth position with 35 points after 23 matches.
Bayelsa United on the other hand seats in the 12th position with 29 points.
