NPFL: Enyimba confirm signing of five new players

Enyimba FC have completed the signing of four new players ahead of the 2022-2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season, according to the club official website on Wednesday.
In what looks to be a raid of oriental rivals, Heartland, Nonso Nzediegwu, Murphy Ndukwu, Chijioke Mbaoma and Chibuike Nwaiwu were unveiled by the People’s Elephants.
The club has been silently poaching players in the market and also have a major signing in their technical department as Finidi George looks forward to a better season after the disappointment of last season
Nwaiwu who is a midfielder will hope to rejuvenate Finidi’s midfield following the departure of Austin Oladapo, Cyril Olisema and Farouk Mohammed. He signed a two-year deal with Enyimba
Murphy Ndukwu and Nonso Nzediegwu are known faces in the league and they will bring their attacking skills on the wings to the side in order to provide width for the People’s Elephants
Chijioke Mbaoma signed a contract that lasts for two years and will wear the number 15 jersey while former Gateway United captain, James Oronsaya penned a one-year deal
In September, Enyimba confirmed the signing of two players, Ikenna Cooper and Chigozie Chilekwu from Sunshine Stars and former MFM assistant manager, Olanrewaju Yemi Daniel also joined the club’s technical crew.
