Akwa United midfielder Etiene Asuquo has been named the club’s Player of the Month for March, following a series of standout performances in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Asuquo played a key role in Akwa United’s crucial victories over Niger Tornadoes and Kwara United, contributing significantly to the club’s strong results.
During the month, Akwa United recorded three wins and one draw, with Asuquo being involved in both of the important victories.
In recognition of his efforts, the young midfielder was awarded N150,000 as part of the monthly accolade.
His performances have also helped Kennedy Boboye’s side climb out of the relegation zone.
Currently, Akwa United sits in 16th place on the NPFL table with 37 points.
