NPFL: ‘I had a dream’ – Bashir Usman on Niger Tornadoes’ winner against Kano Pillars

Niger Tornadoes forward, Bashir Usman has opened up on the motivation behind his matchwinning goal against Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter last Sunday.
Usman was introduced in the second half and he made an incredible impact as his solitary effort sealed a 1-0 win.
And the forward could not hide his excitement after shaking off injury to make the huge difference against Pillars.
“I feel very happy, though I started the game from the bench because I had an injury,” he told the media.
“I had to force the coaches to sub me on with a promise that I wouldn’t disappoint them, because I had a dream that I scored a goal in this game, so that motivated me.”
The win against Kano Pillars took Niger Tornadoes out of the relegation zone to the 16th position with 16 points from 15 matches.
The Ikon Allah boys will face Lobi Stars in their next encounter on Thursday, December 28 at the Lafia township stadium.
