By Saheed Afolabi
Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Ikorodu City FC, have resumed training sessions ahead of the new season.
The Oga Boys, who spent three seasons in the Nigeria National League (NNL) before securing promotion to the topflight, are gearing up for their debut in the NPFL.
The Lagos FA Cup champions held their first training sessions at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan as part of their preseason preparations.
The Lagos based team, coached by Bright Ozebagbe, had taken a break following the demanding 2023/2024 NNL season.
Ikorodu City FC is rumored to be participating in the annual ValueJet Cup in Ikenne, which is scheduled to take place from July 24 to July 31.
They, along with Nasarawa United, El-Kanemi Warriors, and Beyond Limits, secured promotion to the NPFL from the NNL.
