NPFL: Kabiri Dogo rues Kwara United’s missing chances in loss to Katsina United

Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Kabir Dogo has expressed disappointment with how his side fared in their opening 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL match against Katsina United just as he called for quick improvement from his strikers.
Kwara United suffered a slim 1-0 to the Chanji Boys in the match played at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina, thanks to a second half strike from Bello Lukman.
The Harmony Boys, who narrowly beat the drop to lower division last season started the game on a positive notes as they dominated larger parts of first half but couldn’t make use of their chances.
Dogo who picked some positives from the defeat, insists that his attackers will need to improve on their conversion just as he promised that the team will get better.
“It was a good game that reflected the qualities of the NPFL, unfortunately it didn’t end as we wished,” Dogo told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“Congratulations to Katsina United on the victory they took their chance but we could not despite the fact that we had more chances.
“I’m concern about it but I believe we have rooms to improve in all areas especially in the attack and we will work our strikers to get it right before next game.”
Kwara United will next host Abia Wariors in the Matchday Two of the NPFL in Ilorin.
