Kano Pillars have officially lifted the suspension on their Technical Adviser, Usman Abdallah, following a lengthy absence from the team.
Abdallah was suspended in February after making an unsportsmanlike gesture towards fans following the club’s 2-2 draw at home against Bayelsa United in Kano.
The suspension initially saw the veteran coach step aside, with his assistant, Ahmed Garba ‘Yaro-Yaro,’ temporarily taking over the technical role.
The suspension was further extended at the beginning of March, but a statement released on the club’s social media confirmed that Abdallah has now returned to the helm.
He will lead the team for the remainder of the season with the goal of finishing strong.
“All issues have now been resolved. Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah has returned after the misunderstanding with the fans and will lead the team for the remainder of the season. Welcome back, Gaffer!” Kano Pillars wrote on their X (formerly Twitter) handle.
Currently, Kano Pillars sit in eighth place on the NPFL table with 44 points from 31 matches.
