NPFL: Kano Pillars reflect on disappointing defeat to Heartland

By Wale Mustapha

Kano Pillars have expressed their frustration over their 2-0 loss to Heartland on Saturday, calling the defeat a “bitter pill to swallow.”

The Pyramid Boys were outclassed by the Naze Millionaires in their Matchday 32 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, as they succumbed to a disappointing setback that dampened their hopes for the season.

Despite the loss, Kano Pillars remained resolute, vowing to bounce back stronger.

In a statement on their official Facebook page, the club reassured fans that the players would remain focused and determined for the upcoming matches.

“A painful defeat for us at Heartland, trust the boys to come back stronger and more determined in subsequent matches,” the club wrote.

The loss has seen Kano Pillars drop to ninth place in the NPFL standings, as they aim to regroup and secure a more favorable finish in the remaining fixtures of the season.
