NPFL: Kennedy Boboye blames profligacies for Sunshine Stars’ loss to Sporting Lagos

Technical Adviser of Sunshine Stars, Kennedy Boboye has attributed his side’s 1-0 to Sporting Lagos defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League clash on wastefulness of his attackers. 

The Owena Whales gave their all in the match decided at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Tuesday and looked good to have got a decent result. 

Paschal Durugbor’s lone strike secured the maximum points for Paul Offor’s side as a disappointed Boboye noted that the team would work on the positives.

“It’s not a result we wanted, having played so well, but that’s football, we are not disturbed.

“I’m picking the positives from the tie, atimes derbies are like that, our focus is our next match,” he told the club’s media.

Sunshine Stars are 16th on the log with 35 points from 29 games and will be hosting Enyimba FC in Akure on Sunday.
