NPFL: Kwara United dismiss rift with technical crew ahead of Plateau United clash

By Wale Mustapha

The management of Kwara United has dismissed rumours of internal rancour within its technical crew ahead of Thursday’s rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Five fixture against Plateau United.

The club has been under scrutiny following their early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup, which has reportedly sparked concern among sections of the club’s backroom staff.

However, the club insists there is no internal division and that all hands are on deck to improve results.

Head coach Tunde Sanni and his team have reaffirmed their focus and commitment to turning the season around, with key home fixtures lined up.

“The coaches remain resolute and fully focused on winning their upcoming home matches against Plateau United on Thursday and Abia Warriors on Sunday, as well as sustaining the momentum in subsequent fixtures,” the club stated through its media department.

The Harmony Boys are currently 16th on the NPFL log with four points and are in urgent need of a turnaround to avoid slipping further down the table.

Kwara United will host Plateau United at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium, Ilorin, as they look to steady their campaign and silence growing concerns.
