NPFL MD 16: Shooting Stars record away win over Sunshine as Nasarawa edge Lobi

Matchday 16 of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season got underway with two games on Saturday.

The first match between Nasarawa United and Lobi Stars ended 1-0 in favor of the host.

Kamal Adegoke scored the winning goal for Nasarawa in the 12th minute of play.

The win lifted the Solid Miners to the 14th position on the table with 18 points after 16 games.

Lobi Stars, on the other hand, have relegation battles on their hands with 16 points in 17th position.

Elsewhere, Alex Aghahowa scored the game-winner for Shooting Stars Sports Club, which sealed a 1-0 win away from home against Sunshine Stars.

The win put the Ibadan-based side in the fifth position with 24 points from 16 games.

Sunshine Stars occupy the 16th place with 17 points after 15 games.

There are eight more games to complete Matchday 16 on Sunday and Monday.
