Group A leaders, Bendel Insurance remained unbeaten after 12 games after they forced Plateau United to a 1-1 draw in Jos in a 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League encounter in Jos on Sunday.

Izuchukwu Chimezie had given the host a 43rd-minute lead before Deputy Echeta equalised for the Benin Gunners in the 72nd minute.

In Ilorin, Shooting Stars secured their first away win of the season following a 1-0 win at Kwara United.

After Sikiri Alimi’s disappointing miss from the spot, Joshua Akpan’s stoppage time strike was the difference.

Elsewhere, it was goal-rain in Sapele as Bayelsa United decimated Abia Warriors 5-1 in the presence of the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro.

Alex Oyowah scored two goals coupled with goals from Robert Mizo, Alex Jerry, and Alex Oyowah completed the rout for the Restoration Boys against Erasmus Onuh’s men.

In Enugu, Rangers International forced Lobi Stars to a 1-1 draw after Godwin Obaje cancelled out Elijah Ani’s opener.

At the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uche Collins’s 73rd-minute goal handed Akwa United a 1-0 win over Enyimba.

In Pantami, Gombe, Doma United secured a 2-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Gombe Township Stadium.

Goals from Musa Usman (penalty) and Charles Chibuike handed the hosts a return to winning ways despite Mark Daniel’s second half effort for the visitors.

In Bauchi, Wikki Tourists defeated Dakkada FC 3-1 thanks to Chibundu Amah’s brace and a goal from Ibrahim Salisu.

Later in Monday morning, Remo Stars were held at home to a 0-0 draw by Gombe United in Ikenne.

The clash had been abandoned after half time following the refusal of the officials to return for the second half due to alleged reports of intimidation from home fans.
