Katsina United midfielder, Michael Ibe is anticipating a tense atmosphere and a difficult game when his side play host to struggling Akwa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League clash in Katsina on Thursday.
Both teams have been experiencing a torrid season with positive results hard to come by and has led to change of guards as regards head of technical crew.
While Tony Bolus was suspended at Katsina United, Fatai Osho resigned from his post at Akwa United. Both clubs are not well placed on the log with Katsina occupying 15th position while Akwa are 19th.
Ibe who had previously played for Akwa United expects his new employer to win but wary of the visitors’ threat.
“I’m not in doubt of our victory because i know the quality of our team and what we can do on a good day,” Ibe told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“We know they (Akwa United) with more determination because of their position, they are the desperate ones now, they will want to make it difficult for us but we are more eager and desire to win as well.
“We’ve getting it right now and with the support of the fans and how we’ve been playing as a unit, I am positive of a victory for us.”
