NPFL: Nasarawa United coach laments controversial calls vs Niger Tornadoes

By Saheed Afolabi
Nasarawa United head coach Kabiru Dogo has taken a positive outlook following his team’s goalless draw with Niger Tornadoes in Minna.
Despite his belief that his side deserved a win, Dogo has shown sportsmanship and understanding regarding the match’s controversial moments.
Dogo acknowledged the effort of both teams, stating, “Congratulations to both teams, at least we shared the points, even though right inside me, I won the game.”
He expressed disappointment over a goal that was disallowed, adding, “Only the referee can explain why he cancelled that goal. He was closer to the ball than me, so he has the final decision in this circumstance.”
Despite the setback, Dogo remains optimistic about his team’s potential.
“Generally, both sides played good football this evening,” he noted.
“I have a promising side. I believe so much in them, and with time, we will do better.”
Nasarawa United will look to bounce back when they host El Kanemi Warriors in their next fixture, scheduled for Sunday, September 22, in Lafia.
