NPFL: Nasarawa United unveils eight new players ahead of second stanza

In a bid to escape relegation, Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Nasarawa United has unveiled new players to help the team beat the drop.
Eight new players were unveiled at a press conference at the team’s home ground, Lafia City Stadium, on Wednesday.
The new signings bring a wealth of experience, Skill, and determination to the Solid Miners and will be available for their league game against Katsina United when the second stanza gets underway at home on January 25, 2025.
One of the new signings is central defender Benson Abbey, who joined from Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
Left-back Peace Dewan, who has played for Sunshine Stars, is also among the fresh signings.
Attacking midfielder, Abubakar Aliyu also switched from 3SC in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
An international blend to the new acquisition is Peter Eneji who rejoined from Busaiteen FC of Bahrain.
Other signings include center forward Ugochukwu Leonard from Heartland FC, winger Benjamin Jack from Golden Goot FC (Benin Republic), and winger Onyeama Emmanuel from Ikorodu City FC.
After three points and three goals were deducted from Nasarawa United’s haul, the team occupies the bottom position on the league log with 16 points from 19 games.
