NPFL: Niger Tornadoes coach Abubakar Bala rues missed chances against Lobi Stars

Head coach of Niger Tornadoes, Abubakar Bala has lamented his side’s missed chances in a 0-0 draw with Lobi Stars in Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League encounter in Minna.
Tornadoes were eager to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Abia Warriors but saw their hopes dashed as they were to a barren draw in front of their home fans by the Markudi Bombers at Bako Kontagora Stadium.
Disappointed Bala, who admitted facing a difficult opponents Lobi but insists his side did not do enough in front of goal to ensure their winning ways return.
“Before the match, we know it’s going to be a tough one playing against a good team like Lobi, Despite the fact that, also we prepared very well for the match but I’m not happy by the end of the day,” the manager told media.
“We got a draw because of our inability to utilize our chances in the first half. We created a lot of chances in the first half but we were not able to utilize them and that affected the score line.
“We should have picked the three points at stake but nevertheless we are grateful to God that we didn’t loose the match and we got a point, there’s no problem. We would continue from there.”
Niger Tornadoes will trade tackle with Sunshine Stars on the 12th of February 2023 in their next NPFL match at the Akure Township Stadium.
The Ikon Allah are on sixth position in the NPFL abridged group B with eight points, having won two matches, drawn two and lost two.
