NPFL: Plateau United acquire Yusuf Abdullahi on loan from Pillars

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Plateau United has signed youth sensation Yusuf Abdullahi from fellow NPFL outfit Kano Pillars FC on a season-long loan.

The young star holds the record for NPFL’s all-time goals contribution in a single game.

Abdullahi made NPFL history when he put five (5) goals past Gombe United on Match Day 11 at the Pantami Stadium to cap off a 5-2 win for Kano Pillars in Gombe.

He is expected to make his debut with the new club against in-form Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) this weekend.

The Jos-based side occupies the 16th position on the league table with 23 points after 21 games.

They are a place and a point above the relegation zone and need to start winning games to beat the drop zone.

In their last game, Plateau United lost 1-0 to Katsina United away from home.
