NPFL: Rangers return to ‘Cathedral’ for 3SC clash as Amobi Ezeaku demands more
By Wale Mustapha
Enugu Rangers will be making a return to their traditional Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu for the Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Shooting Stars on Thursday.
It will be their first time of playing on the turf tagged ‘The Cathedral’ after over a year, with the Flying Antelopes using Awka Township Stadium in Anambra State for the duration of Enugu stadium refurblishment.
Following the completion of the stadium by Enugu State Government, players, management and fans of the 2016 league champions will be happy to have their team back to base
While thanking state Governor,  Dr. Peter Mbah for fulfilling the promise of delivering the stadium, club’s General Manager Amobi Ezeaku tasked the players to make the venue a fortress to achieve the club’s set targets this term.

“We all know what is at stake in this season’s league and cup matches. The trophies remain our targets,” Ezeaku told media.
“So, as we return home to our ‘Cathedral’, we need to be on top of our games at all times, and what we are doing today, is to call on the God that we serve to bless our efforts on this pitch.
“Just as we thank the government of H.E, Dr. Peter Mbah, Governor of Enugu state, for doing the needful to have us return to Enugu. This is the first step towards getting the needed divine support.”
Rangers will be hoping consolidate on their last match where they shared spoils with Enyimba in Aba last Thursday with a victory over Shooting Stars.
