The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Board has announced a rescheduling of the Matchday Eight clash between Niger Tornadoes and Rivers United.

Originally set for Sunday, 20th October, the fixture will now take place on Monday, 21st October. The change, according to the NPFL, is due to logistical reasons that will better accommodate both teams and officials involved.

The match will be held at the Bako Kotangora Stadium in Minna, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 PM.

Niger Tornadoes confirmed the new date via their official X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing readiness for the encounter.

The Ikon Allah Boys have struggled at home recently, having drawn their last three home games. Currently, they sit seventh on the NPFL table with 10 points from seven matches.

Meanwhile, Rivers United are in excellent form, leading the league with 17 points from six games.

Both teams will be eager to claim three points in this crucial encounter.
