The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has signed a landmark five-year sponsorship agreement worth N5.76 billion with leading betting company Betano.
The deal represents one of the most significant commercial partnerships in the league’s history and is expected to boost club financing, branding, and overall league development.

2026/2027 Season – N1.06 billion
2027/2028 Season – N1.1 billion
2028/2029 Season – N1.15 billion
2029/2030 Season – N1.20 billion
2030/2031 Season – N1.25 billion
The incremental structure of the agreement ensures steady financial growth across the duration of the contract, reflecting increased commercial confidence in the NPFL’s brand value and market appeal.
The partnership is expected to enhance the league’s visibility, improve operational standards, and provide financial stability for participating clubs over the next five seasons.

Prior to his role at Goal.com, Samuel freelanced for various print and broadcast media outlets in Nigeria, including Graphics Newspaper, Radio Nigeria, Grace FM, and Savid Newspaper. His extensive experience and expertise led to his appointment to the Nigeria Football Federation's Standing Committee on Women's Football Development from 2016 to 2018. Since February 2018, Samuel has been the Social Media Manager for Nigeria's women's national teams.In 2019, Samuel joined the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a women's football content contributor and was promoted to Women's Football Editor in 2021. His contributions to women's football continued as he worked as a Media Consultant for Content Creation and Editorials at the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League.
