NPFL: Sodiq Ibrahim set to sign new deal with Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars striker Sodiq Ibrahim is close to agreeing a contract extension with the Ibadan-based club, following a breakthrough season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ibrahim, who joined the Oluyole Warriors midway through the 2023/24 season, made an immediate impact—scoring six goals in 16 appearances to finish as the club’s top scorer.

His strong performances have prompted the club’s management to offer him a new one-year deal, which is expected to be finalized in the coming days.

Ibrahim is seen as a key figure in Shooting Stars’ plans for the upcoming campaign, as the club looks to rebuild after a disappointing season.

The new deal is also a statement of intent from Shooting Stars, who are aiming to retain their top talents while bolstering the squad ahead of the 2024/25 NPFL season.
