NPFL: Sodiq Ismail wins Remo Stars’ Player of the Season Award

Nigeria defender, Sodiq Ismail has been voted as Remo Stars’ Player of the Season.
The enterprising defender beat the club’s top scorer, Sikiru Alimi, Jide Fatokun and Ahmed Akinyele to the award.
Alimi and Akinyele came second and third, respectively, with Ismail winning the highest number of votes ahead of the other nominees.
“After a stellar 2023/24 outing, our Player of the Season is… Sodiq Ismail!,” Remo Stars wrote on X.
Ismail provided 15 assists in the just concluded Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.
His incredible performance with Sky Blues Stars earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
