NPFL: Sunday Megwo praises Abia Warriors’ strong display in Akwa United win

Abia Warriors forward, Sunday Megwo, has commended his teammates for their outstanding performance in their 2-0 victory against Akwa United.

The Umu-Chineke team triumphed over the Uyo-based side in the Matchday 22 clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.

Megwo, who scored one of the goals in the hard-earned win, acknowledged that Akwa United made it challenging for his team.

“It was a solid team performance, and we truly deserved the three points based on how we played,” Megwo told Abia Warriors’ media.

“We knew we had to be at our best against a team like Akwa United, especially with their position in the relegation zone.

“Akwa United made it tough for us in the early stages, but we found a way to secure the win. In this second half of the season, every point counts.

“Overall, it was a great team effort, showcasing the unity and determination that led us to victory.”
