NPFL Super Six MD 4 Previews: Rivers United aim Insurance slip as Remo battle Lobi

Its getting closer to the climax of Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) Super Six playoffs as Matchday Four will be decided at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos State on Friday.
Top of the card of the fixtures is opening encounter between defending champions, Rivers United and Insurance FC who are yet to taste defeat this season.
The Benin Arsenals will require more than what they’ve been given to avoid defeat or settled for another draw again having seen more games ended in stalemate than victory for them. Their first three games at the playoffs ended in a draw and that may give them confidence heading to supremacy battle with Rivers as both sides ended the regular season as group leaders.
For Rivers United, a win will push them to top of table and closer to retaining the league title haven already secured five points from previous three games played.
The 4:30pm duel is another interesting one that will see Remo Stars and underperforming Lobi Stars going for the maximum points that will give either side a chance to secure one of the continental spots.
While Remo Stars remain the fop scoring side in the championship with five goals, Lobi Stars are yet to register a goal in the playoffs. On the other hand, The Sky Blue Stars cannot boast of dependable defense haven let in same number of goals they’ve converted while Lobi Stars have only let in just a goal. A win for either side will boost the continental candidature of either side.
The evening match on the plate is expected to produced another interesting pairing as table toppers, Enyimba FC will be taking on Sunshine Stars who only have two points to show from three games played.
The Peoples’ Elephants will have the advantage of deciding how they will approach the Sunshine match as they must have gotten results of other contenders.
Coach George Finidi will be banking on his in from striker, Chukwuemeka Obioma to continue his fine form which has seen him scoring two goals already at the championship as they will be willing to return to continental competition.
With one more Matchday left to be played after the Friday’s fixtures, clubs will need to put in extra energy and determination to record positive returns which be a major determinant of their participations at the Super Six.

Rivers United vs Insurance FC – 2pm.
Remo Stars vs Lobi Stars – 4:30pm.
Sunshine Stars vs Enyimba FC – 7pm.
