By Wale Mustapha
Head Coach of Katsina United, Tony Bolus has praised his boys for their positive attitude in their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Matchday Four clash against Heartland that ended in 1-1 draw on Sunday.
The Naze Millionaires took the lead in the first half through an own goal following a goal mouth scramble in Katsina’s box.
The Chanji Boys rallied in the second half and find the equalized with a half volleyed finish from Micheal Ibe and the gaffer admits the draw in Owerri was down to his side’s resilience.
“It was a fantastic game, very good attitude and character from boys, we were able to work on our formation, the pattern and it helped up to get this point, I think its something we can build on,” Bolus told media.
“In the first half, we suffered a bit, we were not getting the passes together because of the pitch, you know we are used to artificial and this is grass and even bumpy.
“Thankfully, our approach worked well for us the second half and we are happy with the result.
“We could have won it to make amend for the points we dropped at home, but we will continue to get better as I do say, this team is a work progress and will always improve as we move on,” he said.
Katsina United will next host Sunshine Stars in the next NPFL fixture in Katsina.
