NPFL: Yemi Olanrewaju happy with Enyimba’s crucial win over Lobi Stars

Head Coach Yemi Olanrewaju of Enyimba FC expressed his relief and satisfaction after securing three important points in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Two fixture against Lobi Stars.

The People’s Elephants claimed a 2-1 victory in Aba on Wednesday, with early goals from Ufere Chinedu and Eze Ekwutoziam setting the tone before Waheed Adebayo pulled one back for the visitors.

Olanrewaju commended his players for their resilience but acknowledged that there is still room for improvement.

“We’re happy to get three points; that’s what matters,” he stated on the club’s official website.

“The league is a marathon, and every game counts. Getting maximum points at home is crucial.”

Enyimba’s next challenge will be against Rivers United in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
