NWFL: Moses Aduku demands maximum concentration ahead of Edo Queens clash with Abia Angels

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku has called for maximum concentration from the players as they prepare to face Abia Angels on Wednesday.

The Benin City-based side will square up against Abia Angels in a Matchday nine encounter in a reverse fixture of the league opener.

Edo Queens ran riot with a 5-0 thrashing of the same opponents when they last met.

Since then, their opponents have gone on to win five out of their seven games, including winning their last three, which will pose a stern test for the traveler’s unbeaten record.

“We are here for real business and so I want us to remain focussed,” Aduku said.

“Let them know that you are the defending champions. You are aware that Edo Queens have not lost any game. We should try and maintain that record.

“See every game as war. You humbled them in Benin 5-0. You can still do the same. Last season, they defeated us in Benin, but we came to their home and beat them.

“I believe we can do it again. I have so much confidence in you girls and by the special grace of God, we will go back to Benin with our three points.” He concluded.

Edo Queens have won six of their eight games with two draws this season.

The league holders aim to defend their title, which starts with qualifying for the Super Six Playoffs as they top Group A with a point better than Remo Stars Ladies.
